Middlesbrough appoint Rob Edwards as head coach on three-year deal
Boro fill role left by sacking of Carrick earlier in June
‘It’s something that’s not lost on me, how big this is’
Middlesbrough have moved to fill the vacancy left after Michael Carrick’s sacking by appointing Rob Edwards as head coach on a three-year deal.
The 42-year-old, who left Luton by mutual consent in January, replaces former Manchester United and England midfielder Michael Carrick, whose reign was brought to a close earlier this month after the club missed out on the Championship playoffs.
