Middlesbrough part company with Michael Carrick after finishing 10th

Head coach has been in charge since October 2022

Two assistants have also left the Teesside club

Michael Carrick has left his role at Middlesbrough’s head after the team finished 10th in the Championship last month.

The former England midfielder had been in charge since October 2022. The club said: “Michael’s assistants Jonathan Woodgate and Graeme Carrick have also departed the club. We’d like thank Michael, Jonathan, and Graeme for all their hard work and unwavering commitment. We wish them all the very best for the future.”
